Honorary Community Advocate
The Honorary Community Advocate award is presented at Dinner with Bill & Friends to an exceptional business or individual whose dedication and efforts have significantly enhanced the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental differences.
Fields Auto Group has exemplified this commitment through its partnership with The Arc Jacksonville’s Employment Services. As an inclusive employer, Fields Auto Group hired two individuals with intellectual and developmental differences (IDD) as Directors of First Impressions at their Mercedes-Benz dealerships. Additionally, they collaborated with The Arc Jacksonville to develop an innovative small group employment model, launching a car wash crew staffed by four individuals with IDD.
Their impactful work has not only created meaningful employment opportunities but also fostered greater understanding, acceptance, and support for individuals of diverse abilities. Fields Auto Group’s dedication serves as an inspiring example for others, encouraging a more inclusive and supportive community.
Jason ‘Moose’ Hamilton Trailblazer of the Year
This award is named in respect of someone who has been a remarkable presence in our organization for years—Jason ‘Moose’ Hamilton. Jason has been a dedicated board member and an inspiring voice at our Dinner with Bill & Friends events. He embodies the values of leadership, self-advocacy, and community involvement that we aim to recognize with this award.
The recipient of this award is someone who has made an undeniable impact—someone who has taken bold steps in leading one’s peers, self- advocacy, and initiating new opportunities in areas such as employment, education, and independent living.
We are eager to recognize Ryan Poalino as the inaugural recipient of this award who, like Jason, has paved the way for others to follow, showing us all what it means to be a true trailblazer.
Ryan, a graduate of our On Campus Transition program at the University of North Florida, made history as the first OCT student to join a fraternity at UNF, becoming a proud member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. Throughout his time at UNF, Ryan served as a manager for the men’s lacrosse team, represented the OCT program as an AmeriCorps member, and showcased his musical talents in the Concert Band, Drumline, and Osprey Pep Band.
