The Arc Jacksonville is looking for YOU to bring your talents and interests to those we serve! We will match you in an area of need in the agency, creating a rewarding experience for all! Whether you want to volunteer individually or as part of a group, we will find the perfect experience for you – the possibilities are endless!

Volunteers are vital to our organization and we are so appreciative of everyone who spends their time with us. In response to the outbreak of COVID-19, The Arc Jacksonville has closed its programs for the time being. For the safety of our staff, outside personnel or visitors are not allowed into our building.

We are now offering virtual volunteer opportunities!

Virtual Opportunities

The quarantine and stay-at-home orders have been tough for all of us, but for many individuals with intellectual and developmental differences, this time is especially hard and isolating. Programs like the ones we offer are the only time that many of these individuals interact with others.

While our programs are still closed to outside visitors, we are creating virtual and remote volunteer opportunities for you to connect and engage with the individuals we serve.

Skills Videos
Volunteers can create engaging, instructional videos to be shared with the individuals we serve. Topics can include modified exercise, sign language, how-to’s (cooking a simple meal, an arts and crafts project, sew a button, etc.).

Thinking-of-You Cards
Each month we send 260 activity packets to our day program individuals and would love to include a “thinking of you” card to brighten their day. Cards can be handmade, store-bought, designed online, and printed – wherever your creativity takes you! No matter what you do, your card will be appreciated more than you know!

Cards can be mailed to or dropped off at: The Arc Jacksonville, 1050 North Davis Street, Jacksonville, FL 32209
