Ready to Work in the Community

Individuals seeking employment within a community setting are guided by The Arc Jacksonville toward positions best suited to their abilities. Employment specialists consult with employers to identify their unique needs, analyze job duties to determine positions most appropriate for the job seeker and select interviewees who are the best match for the job.

Those seeking a job receive pre-employment skill building, job search assistance, and work training in particular duties.

After securing employment, the job coach provides job-site training in specific skills and counseling on work-related behaviors, including social skills to the employee.
