A home not only provides a place to sleep, but is a place of belonging, security, and friendship. The Arc Jacksonville’s Community Homes are more than just a place to live. Each residence is tailored to meet the specialized needs of the 44 residents who call it home.

The Arc Jacksonville operates five community homes for a total of 44 residents. Each home includes shared meals, personal care and leisure time activities. Each individual has a private bedroom and enjoys all the comforts of home.

Individual care plans define each resident’s unique wellness routine including medications, therapies and nutrition guidelines. Each resident works to optimize their independence by increasing self-care, participating in house activities, and gaining community safety skills.

Each home has a special personality derived from the people who have chosen to live there. At three of the homes, Kaden Place, St. Nicholas and Grove House, six residents enjoy private bedrooms and share living/dining space.

At the other two homes, Bert Road and Jammes Road, 13 residents enjoy their private space and common areas in sprawling one-story residences built to accommodate a crowd.

We believe everyone deserves a beautiful, quality place to call home. In 2019, all five of the Community Homes were renovated with new indoor furniture and décor. In recent years, Kaden Place and Grove House were completely rebuilt.
