Dementia services for individuals with intellectual and developmental differences

Specialized Aging Support (SAS) provides services for individuals with intellectual and developmental differences who are at high risk of or living with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD) and their caregivers.

The program aims to increase quality of life and wellbeing through a variety of support services including occupational therapy, individualized care plans, continuous assessments, and both in home and on site programming.

Did you know?

Individuals with Down syndrome have an increased risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD). About 90% of people with Down syndrome will develop ADRD by the age of 65.
Kimberly Smoak Pommer Day Center

The Kimberly Smoak Pommer Day Center provides on site services and features a sensory room, fitness area, simulated home kitchen, functional therapy room, and comfortable group support spaces.
